The meaning of mindfulness
In today's fast-paced world, it's easy for our minds to become overwhelmed with stress, worries, and endless to-do lists. When your mind is full and you're in desperate need of relief, it's time to turn to mindfulness. This ancient practice, rooted in Buddhist tradition, has gained popularity in recent years for its ability to bring calm and clarity to even the busiest minds.
At Grounded, the definition we use is by Jon Kabat-Zinn:
“Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a non-judgemental lens, in the service of self-understanding and wisdom.”
